Local volunteers are bringing Norman Robbins' gothic comedy A Tomb With A View to the stage in West Bromwich this week.

Charlemont Dramatic Society, known as CADS, is performing the play at Gayton Road Community Centre, B71 1QS. The run began on Wednesday 7 October and continues until Saturday 10 October 2026, with performances starting at 7.30pm.

The comedy centres on the eccentric Tomb family and the fictional Tomb Manor, combining a murder mystery with unusual characters and dark humour.

A production made by local volunteers

Members of the local community have worked on the production both on stage and behind the scenes. Their roles include acting, directing, building the set, preparing props and costumes, and running lighting, sound and front of house.

The production is directed by Saskia and Megan. Ahead of the run, the directors thanked the people who had contributed their time, energy and creativity to bringing the setting to life.

Remaining performances

The remaining evenings in the advertised run are Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October, both at 7.30pm. Readers should check availability before travelling.

Information about the production is available from CADS’ production page, with booking through the society’s TicketSource listing.
