Sandwell Council is congratulating students across the borough who received their A-level, T-level and BTEC results last week, and is wishing the best of luck to those collecting their GCSE results this week.
For many young people, results day marks the start of an exciting new chapter — whether progressing to sixth form or college, securing a university place, starting an apprenticeship, entering employment, or exploring other training opportunities.
Support Available for Students
Not everyone receives the results they were hoping for. Sandwell Council is reminding students and their families that free, impartial careers advice and guidance is available for anyone unsure about their next steps, needing help understanding options, or reassessing plans following their results.
Councillor Jack Sabharwal, Sandwell Council's Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, said: "Results day can be exciting, but it can also feel daunting. Whatever your results, it is important to remember that there are many different pathways to success and you do not have to make decisions on your own."
Councillor Sabharwal added: "If your results are not what you expected, or if you are simply unsure about your next steps, I would encourage you to speak to our Careers Service. Our advisers can help you explore all of your options and find the route that is right for you."

Young people can access free face-to-face careers advice at Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DB, on weekdays from 10am to 4pm until Friday 28 August.
