Sandwell Council has been officially recognised as the 48th Top Apprentice Employer out of 100 in this year's national rankings, according to a UK Government-backed assessment.
The council is one of only three local authorities nationwide to feature in the top 50 rankings.
Apprenticeships Across Multiple Sectors
Over the past year, Sandwell Council has expanded its apprenticeship offer across a wide range of professions. These include digital roles, HR, finance, highways, housing and customer services. The apprenticeship programme also spans administration, engineering, and social care, reflecting the council's commitment to meeting the needs of a diverse and evolving local economy.

Amaani Malik, Digital Services Apprentice, said: "I enjoy working as part of a team and I feel supported every day. I am passionate about developing my technical skills and gaining real world experience. I can also earn whilst learning and create relationships with professionals and learn new skills in the workplace."
